Marble: changes to the dates. The two main trade fairs in the natural stone and related technology sector scheduled for next year have been brought forward a couple of days.
Stone+Tec in Nuremberg, whose date is dependent on Whitsunday and the German stone-cutters’ festival, will be held from 20th to 23rd May.
Marmomacc in Verona, on the other hand, will take place from 30th September to 3rd October. It has been brought forward just a couple of days which reminds us of a peaceful, distant tradition which has never been forgotten, namely the celebration of marble in Sant'Ambrogio Valpolicella. We would like to remind readers that, with 2009 being an odd year, the European exhibitions in Carrara, Madrid and Liege will not be held. Swissbau, the showcase of innovations and trends in the building industry which is held in Basel, is scheduled for the end of January 2010. Following an agreement which has brought together the two most important exhibition centres in Switzerland, the fair is back after 3 years to fit in with the other events in Zurich.

The “Feeling” tub perfectly combines product research, Effepimarmi’s manufacturing skill and the ergonomic style concept. “Feeling” is a totally new design object, featuring a sinuous, harmonious shape which has never been seen before. The tub has been designed not for fitting adjacent to a wall but to stand alone, to be enjoyed 360 degrees. It consists in a Riverstone curved bed featuring a gentle “play” of concaveness and convexity which creates a natural basin for both the water, and the person bathing. This curved surface is closed in on either side by crystal, an out an out “invisible” but physical barrier to the water in the tub, so “the emotion within” can be experienced “without”, too.
